Eloy Silva's Obituary
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Eloy Silva, who entered eternal rest on Thursday March 28, 2024, at the age of 81, in Edinburg, Texas.
Eloy Silva was born on November 16, 1942, in San Isidro, Texas and served in the army as a Sergeant during the Vietnam War. Eloy was very industrious with his hands and was always willing to help those who needed his help.
Eloy was a loving father, son, brother, nephew, and uncle. He was preceded in death by his father, Marcelo Silva, his mother, Juliana Pena Garcia, his sister, Elia Silva Meador, his brother, David Garcia and his brother-in-law, Bill Matlock.
Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Elisa S. (John Jr.) Perez, his 6 grandchildren —Bryan D. (Carmen) Lopez, Briana A. (Myles) Stevenson, Amanda B. (Aaron) Cortez, Jonah Z. Perez, Alyssa M. Perez, Phelicity A. Perez; 15 great-grandchildren; his sisters, Esiquia (Omar) Escobar, Beatriz (Dave) Johnson, and Martha Matlock. Along with numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family, and dear friends as well as his faithful friend, Lucky.
The family invites you to join them in a celebration of faith in remembrance of his life. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 05, 2024, from 9:30am to 10:30am at the San Isidro Parish Hall (5160 FM 1017, San Isidro, Tx) and the funeral services will begin at 11:00am. Burial to follow at the Pena Family Cemetery.
Eloy will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
Funeral services are entrusted to Hernandez Funerals, LLC, in Rio Grande City.
