Elmo Barrera's Obituary
Elmo Barrera, 71, passed away Thursday September 24, 2020 in Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg, Texas. He was born on September 30, 1948 in Elsa, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Imelda G. Barrera and his daughters, Elma Laura Barrera Galvan, Marla Bazan and his sons, Elmo Barrera Jr., Carlos Adrian Barrera. Survivors also include his 13 Grand-Children and 1 Great Grand-Daughter. Viewing is going to be held on Monday September 28, 2020 from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a rosary at 6:00 pm. Viewing continues on Tuesday September 29, 2020 from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm with a chapel service at 11:00 am follow burial at Rio Grande City Cemetery at 12:10 pm. Due to the current climate surrounding COVID -19, we are limiting the amount of visitors to our facility and requiring all guests to please wear a mask and observe social distancing. Funeral services are entrusted at Hernandez Funerals, LLC in Rio Grande City.
