Elijio Solis' Obituary
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Elijio Solis who entered into eternal rest on Saturday, May 04, 2024, at the age of 80, in McAllen, Texas. Elijio was a devoted husband, a loving father, son, brother, nephew, grandfather, great-grandfather, and uncle. He will be greatly missed by his wonderful family and friends. Elijio was born on July 30, 1943, in La Grulla, Starr County, Texas to Salvador Solis and Herminia Solis. Elijio was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife, Emilia R. Solis and his siblings, Salvador Solis Jr., Herlinda Solis, Ema Solis. Left to cherish his memory are his loving children, Israel (Elena) Soliz, Belia Soliz, Alfredo Solis. Survivors include his loving brother, Jose Raul Solis, his loving sister, Elvira Solis Balderas and his 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family whom he loved dearly. The Solis Family invites you to join them in a celebration of his life. The visitation service will be on Thursday, May 09, 2024, from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Hernandez Funerals with a rosary at 6:00 pm. Viewing continues on/ Friday, May 10, 2024, from 8:00 am – 9:45 am to Immaculate Church in Rio Grande City at 10:00 am. Followed by Cremation. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Hernandez Funerals in Rio Grande City, Texas.
