Elijio Guzman, age 82, passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2023, in Mission, Texas. He was born on August 25, 1940, in La Grulla, Texas. Elijio, was a loving husband, son, father, brother, uncle, and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by his beloved family and close friends. He is is preceded in death by his parents; Miguel Guzman+ and Nicolas Guzman+. He is survived by his wife, Elva Lozano Guzman and his daughters, Janella Forbes and Alison Guzman., his step daughter Ana. Survivors also include his siblings, Hilario Guzman+, Jose Inez Guzman, Josefa Guzman, Maria Guzman, Celia Gonzalez, and Miguel Guzman Jr., Alma Rosa Cruz+, Alicia Garcia, Noelia Hernandez, Yolanda Rojas also by his 1 granddaughter, Heather Forbes his extended family, all of whom he loved dearly. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 11, 2023, from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with a chapel service at 3:00 p.m. Viewing continues on Saturday, August 12, 2023, from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. followed burial at Ruben Solis Cemetery in La Grulla, Texas at 10:00 a.m. Funeral services are entrusted to Hernandez Funerals, LLC, in Rio Grande City.
