Elida D. Castillo's Obituary
With great sorrow, we announce the passing of Elida D. Castillo, on Wednesday October 20, 2021 at the age, of 86, in her residence in Rio Grande City, Texas surrounded by her family. Elida was our dearly loved wife, mother, daughter, grand-mother, great-grandchildren, sister, niece, and friend. She will be greatly missed by her beloved family and close friends. Elida was born on April 01, 1935 in Camargo, Tamps, Mexico, to Juan and Herlinda Garza Dimas. She is preceded in death by her parents, Juan and Herlinda Garza Dimas and her son, Cristober Castillo. She is survived by her children, Noelia Castillo, Manuel Raul Castillo, Jose Luis Castillo and Miguel Angel Castillo, Juan de Dios Castillo, Norma Herlinda Castillo, Miguel Cristober Castillo. Survivors also include her 23 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family, all whom she loved dearly. Visitation is going to be on Thursday October 21, 2021 from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Viewing continues on Friday October 22, 2021 from 8:00 am to 9:30 am, going to St. Paul Church in La Puerta at 10:00 am. Follow Burial at La Puerta Cemetery at 11:00 am. Due to the current climate surrounding COVID -19, we are limiting the amount of visitors to our facility and requiring all guests to please wear a mask and observe social distancing. Services are entrusted to Hernandez Funerals in Rio Grande City.
