Elida Barrera Garza, age, 87, gained her wings on Saturday, August 19, 2023, in her Residence in El Garceno, Texas. She was born on November 20, 1935. Elida, was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother. Elida loved to be celebrated in any way, she was one of a kind that will be greatly missed by her beloved family and close friends. She is proceeded in death by her parents, Eleno G. Barrera+, and Andrea G. Barrera+ also by her husband, Liborio Garza Sr+. She is survived by her children, Maria Luisa G. Rodriguez, Lydia G. (Rene) Ramirez, Leonel (Maria Alba) Garza, Simona Head, and Liborio Garza Jr. Survivors also include her grandchildren, Jesus Rodriguez Jr., Jay Lee Rodriguez, Jake Rodriguez, Lisa Rosillo, Alberto Rene Ramirez+, and Marissa Ann Estrada, Monica Garza Dozier, Alba Nydia Garza, Mona Lee Bennett, Liborio Garza III. Survivors also include her great-grandchildren, Ashely M. Rodriguez, Kaylee M. Rodriguez, Jay Lee Rodriguez Jr., Jose Eloy Rosillo, Renee L. Rosillo, Raul Rosillo III, and Alberto Rene Ramirez Jr., Ameerah K. Estrada, Rogelio Perez Jr., Eloise M. Bennett, and extended family, all of whom she loved dearly. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a rosary at 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Viewing continues on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. going to Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Escobares at 11:00 a.m. followed by Burial at Escobares Cemetery at 12:00 p.m. Funeral services are entrusted to Hernandez Funerals, LLC, in Rio Grande City.
