EJ loved his family and loved his Dallas Cowboys. Win or lose, he proudly stood by his team. He also had a passion for collecting and trading baseball cards, sports cards, coins, and just about anything he thought might become the next great find. He was always working on a deal, hunting for a treasure, or sharing his latest hobby with anyone willing to listen.
What made EJ special wasn’t just what he loved—it was how he treated people. He was always willing to help. If family needed something, his answer was usually, “Okay, Tia ahorita voy.” He showed up. That’s just who he was.
He never missed an opportunity to compliment me and my sisters on how he had the best good looking tias in the world . He made people feel seen, appreciated, and loved. He had a way of bringing warmth into a room and making conversations feel easy.
Like all family members, he had his moments. He could be persistent, talk a little too much, and occasionally make us roll our eyes. Today, those are the very things I wish we could experience one more time. I'd gladly listen to one more story, send one more Cash App, or hear him ask for one more favor just to have him back.
Rest easy, EJ. Save us a seat, a song at karaoke, and maybe even a Dallas Cowboys victory. Until we meet again, you will be deeply loved, forever missed, and never forgotten. Love your Tia !
