Cristina Zarate's Obituary
Cristina Zarate, age, 83, passed away on Sunday, July 02, 2023 in Edinburg, Texas. She was born on February 05,1940 in La Grulla, Texas. Cristina, was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, she will be greatly missed by her beloved family and close friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Macario Zarate+ and Alicia Solis Zarate+. She is survived by her siblings, Pablo (Angelita) Zarate, Berta Z. (Jose) Vela, Elia Rosa Z.(Adan+) Olvera, Aida Z.+ (Rafael Ybarra+) and Idolina Z.+ (Alonzo) Alafa, Melida Z. (Jorge E.) Gracia, Macario (Susana S.) Zarate Jr., Maria Elena Z. (Esteban) Ortiz. Survivors also include many cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family, all whom she loved dearly. Family Zarate wants to give their thanks to the Rio Grande City Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Visitation is going to be on Wednesday July 05, 2023 from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a service at 7:00 pm. Viewing continues on Thursday July 06, 2023 from 8:00 am to 10:15 am going to Grace Point Church in La Grulla at 10:30 am. Follow Burial at Los Solis Cemetery in La Grulla at 11:30 am. Due to the current climate surrounding COVID -19, we are limiting the amount of visitors to our facility and requiring all guests to please wear a mask and observe social distancing. Funeral services are entrusted at Hernandez Funerals, LLC in Rio Grande City.
