Consuelo Flores' Obituary
Consuelo Flores, age 72, entered eternal rest on January 14, 2026, in Corpus Christi, Texas, surrounded by the love she spent her life giving to others.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Zenon Flores and Juanita Cantu, whom she now reunites with in peace.
Consuelo was a woman of quiet strength, deep love, and unwavering devotion to her family. She worked for many years as an office manager, where her dedication, responsibility, and integrity were evident to all who worked with her. Yet her greatest role and proudest achievement was being a mother, grandmother, sister, and the heart of her family.
She leaves behind her loving children, Carlos Barrera, Orlando Barrera, Claudia Garza, and De’nette Garcia, who were the center of her world. She also leaves her cherished siblings, Elma Gloria Garcia, Oralia Garza, Guadalupe Flores Treviño, Jaime Flores, and Estela Venecia, with whom she shared a lifetime of memories, laughter, and love.
Consuelo was a devoted grandmother to her eight grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart. Her love for them was unconditional, and she took great joy in watching them grow.
Those who knew Consuelo will remember her gentle spirit, her resilience, her caring nature, and the way she always put others before herself. Her presence brought comfort, her words brought wisdom, and her love created a home wherever she was.
Though she is no longer with us in body, Consuelo’s love, lessons, and legacy will live on forever in the hearts of those she touched. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
