With profound sadness and heartfelt love, we announce the passing of Carolina Fuentes Flores, who entered into eternal rest on July 20, 2026, at the age of 91.
Carolina was born on January 8, 1935, in Rio Grande City, Texas, to her loving parents, Hilario Fuentes and Marcela Vela. She was a lifelong resident of Rio Grande City, where she was also peacefully called home to the Lord.
A devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, Carolina dedicated her life to her family. She was known for her strength, kindness, unwavering faith, and the unconditional love she shared with everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Her home was always a place of warmth, where family gathered to create cherished memories that will live on for generations.
She leaves behind her beloved children: Diana Gutierrez, Isreal Flores, Jose Luis Flores, and Dora Linda Flores. She was preceded in death by her beloved children: Yolanda Garcia, Sixto Flores Jr., and Ana Isabel Garza.
Carolina's legacy continues through her 26 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren, all of whom were blessed by her love, wisdom, and gentle spirit.
Although her physical presence will be deeply missed, her memory will forever remain in the hearts of her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched. Her love, guidance, and enduring faith will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all relatives and friends for their love, prayers, and support during this difficult time. They kindly ask that Carolina be remembered not for the way her life ended, but for the beautiful way she lived and the countless lives she touched.
