Carlos Abundiz, age, 80, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at his residence in Rio Grande City, Texas surrounded by his family. He was born on November 04, 1943 in Nuevo Leon, Mexico. Carlos, was a dearly loved husband, son, father, brother, grandfather. He is preceded in death by his parents, Reymundo Abundiz+ and Dionisia Alonso+. He is survived by his wife, Celia Rivera Abundiz and his children, Ana Galvan, Jose Carlos Abundiz and Celia Abundiz. Survivors also include his 7 grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. The Abundiz family invites you to join them in a celebration of faith in remembrance of his life. The Abundiz family will receive family and friends on Tuesday December 26, 2023 from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The recital of the service will begin at 6:00 pm. Viewing continues on Wednesday December 27, 2023, from 8:00 am to 10:30 am going to Iglesia Maranatha in Las Lomas at 11:00 am follow burial to La Paz Cemetery in Rio Grande City at 12:30 pm. Funeral services are entrusted at Hernandez Funerals, LLC in Rio Grande City.
