Buenaventura Alanis' Obituary
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Buenaventura Alanis who entered eternal rest on Saturday April 27, 2024, at the age of 83, in his residence in Rio Grande City, Texas surrounded by his loving family. Buenaventura was born on October 14, 1940 in Santa Rosalia Rancho El Catan, Mexico to Benicio Alanis de Leon and Teresita Morin. Buenaventura was a loving husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, nephew, and uncle. He was preceded in death by his parents, Benicio and Teresita M. Alanis. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Maria D. Alanis and his children, Maria De Jesus Alanis, Alma Yolanda Alanis De Ochoa, Jesus Angel Alanis, Hugo Benicio Alanis, Olga Lydia Alanis, Oscar Mario Alanis and his 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren along with numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family. The family invites you to join them in a celebration of faith in remembrance of his life. The visitation service will be on Monday April 29, 2024, from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Hernandez Funerals. Viewing continues on Tuesday April 30, 2024 from 8:00 am to 11:00 am with a chapel service at 10:00 am. Followed by Burial at Eloy Garza Cemetery at 12:00 pm. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Hernandez Funerals in Rio Grande City, Texas.
