Augusto Salinas Mendoza's Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the funeral arrangements for our beloved father Augusto Salinas.
Augusto lived a long and beautiful life. At the age of 72, Augusto was blessed to have experienced 52 years of a wonderful marriage to his beautiful wife Delia and blessed to be able to see his children grow and prosper into their own journey on building a family.
Augusto will be remembered for his hand work ethic and his great deal of love and passion for his family. Augusto left behind a legacy that will continue to shine even in the darkest moments, we will remember that it was his love and hard-earned fight that got us through adversity. Augusto didn’t know when to quit. All he knew was to keep on fighting for his family. So that his family can enjoy a hot fresh meal. So that his family can have a roof over their heads. And so that his family had an opportunity to get an education.
Augusto will also be remembered for his love for animals. There was not one single animal in the world that Augusto could not feed or help. There was something in his heart that the animals felt and were drawn to him.
Augusto took pride in everything he did. From scrubbing toilets, to feeding a stray dog, to being a family man. His pride and passion will never be forgotten.
Augusto was a strong man, a humble man and a man of faith. He did the best he could so that his children could have the life they have. Augusto can fly high into the gates of heaven knowing his family will stand strong and tall during this difficult time.
We will keep his passion for animals alive. We will keep his love for one another alive. We will fight for our loved ones. And we will never give up. Because that is the legacy he left behind. And that is the legacy we will carry on with us. He may no longer be with us, but as long as we carry his legacy and memories in our hearts he will never be forgotten.
Augusto is survived by his loving wife Delia Salinas and his children Ivette Padilla (Mike), Jose (Noemi), Christian (Stephanie), Gerald (Veronica), and Christopher Salinas (America). He will forever be remembered and cherished by his nine grandchildren: Mike Jr., Joseph, Kassandra, Anthony, Andre, Kahleesi, Joaquin, William, and Kassidy.
Our family deeply appreciates all the prayers, love, and support during this difficult time. May Augusto rest in eternal peace.
