Apolonio Saenz,age 89, Died on Sunday October 12, 2020 in Solara Hospital in Edinburg, Texas. Apolonio was born to Manuel and Tomasita Saenz on April 10, 1931 in Rio Grande City, Texas. Apolonio Saenz was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Tomasita Saenz and his wife, Raquel Saenz , his siblings, Carmen Saenz, Amparo Saenz, Pablo Saenz and Esperanza Saenz, Tomasita Saenz. It was with great sadness and love that we announced the passing of our father, grandfather,Brother, Apolonio Saenz at the age of 89. He is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Melba S. Lozano, his son, Hector Saenz. Survivors also include his 6 grandchildren and his sisters, Lupita S. Guerra and Eva S. Sylvia. Viewing is going to be held on Wednesday October 14, 2020 from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Viewing continues on Thursday October 15, 2020 from 8:00 am to 10:40 am with a chapel service at 9:00 am follow burial to Rio Grande City Cemetery at 11:00 am. Due to the current climate surrounding COVID -19, we are limiting the amount of visitors to our facility and requiring all guests to please wear a mask and observe social distancing. Funeral services are entrusted at Hernandez Funerals, LLC in Rio Grande City.
