Antonia Alvarez Rivera's Obituary
Antonia Alvarez Rivera, age, 88, passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2023, at her residence in Rio Grande City, Texas surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 13, 1935 in Mexico. Antonia, was a loving wife, daughter, mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother. She will be greatly missed by her beloved family and close friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Marcelo Alvarez+ and Santos M. Alvarez+ her husband, Valentin Rivera+ her brothers+. She is survived by her children, Francisca Gallegos, Jorge Luis Rivera, Juan A. Rivera and Jose A. Rivera, Raymundo Alvarez. Survivors also include her brothers and her 15 grandchildren, 13 greatgrandchildren, 15 great-great-grandchildren and her extended family, all of whom she loved dearly. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 13, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a rosary at 6:00 p.m. Viewing continues on Monday August 14, 2023 from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with a chapel service at 10:00 a.m. Follow Burial at La Paz Cemetery in Rio Grande City at 11:30 a.m. Funeral services are entrusted to Hernandez Funerals, LLC, in Rio Grande City.
