Amelia L. Hickman's Obituary
Amelia L. Hickman, age 84, of Rio Grande City, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2026. She was born on February 7, 1942, in Rio Grande City to the late Ramon Lopez and Aurora Laurel Lopez.
Amelia lived a life marked by devotion to her family, kindness to those around her, and a quiet strength that touched many lives. She will be remembered for her loving heart, her unwavering dedication to her family, and the cherished memories she created with those who knew her.
She is survived by her beloved brother, Enrique Lopez; her niece and nephew, Monica Garcia and Edio Estrada Jr.; and her great-nephews and great-nieces, Edio Estrada III, Isabella Mary Estrada, David Lopez, Eddi Lopez, Neda Lopez Martinez, Yvonne Bazan, James Bazan, and Jessie Bazan Jr. Amelia also leaves behind numerous extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lynes Hickman; her parents, Ramon and Aurora Laurel Lopez; and her sisters, Amada Lopez Garcia and Hortencia Lopez.
Though Amelia's passing leaves a void in the hearts of her loved ones, her legacy of love, compassion, and family devotion will continue to live on through all who were blessed to know her.
May she rest in eternal peace.
