Amalia V. Alvarez's Obituary
Amalia V. Alvarez, age, 94, passed away Monday, December 07, 2020 in Edinburg, Texas. She was born on October 20,1926 in China, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. She is preceded in death by her parents, Luciano and Guadalupe Serna Villarreal and her daughter, Viola Montez de Oca. She is survived by her husband, Noe Alvarez and her children, Lucas Chapa Villarreal, Fidela San Miguel, Lionel Chapa Villarreal, Heriberto Alvarez. Survivors also include her 16 grandchildren. Viewing is going to be on Friday December 11, 2020 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a chapel service at 6:00 pm. Viewing continues on Saturday December 12, 2020 from 8:00 am to 10:00 follow to Rio Grande City Cemetery. Due to the current climate surrounding COVID -19, we are limiting the amount of visitors to our facility and requiring all guests to please wear a mask and observe social distancing. Funeral services are entrusted at Hernandez Funerals, LLC in Rio Grande City.
