Alejandro "El Negro" Lopez's Obituary
With great sorrow, we announce the passing of Alejandro “El Negro” Lopez, age, 75, on Monday, February 13, 2023 in McAllen, Texas. Alejandro, was a dearly son, father, husband, brother, uncle, grand-father, great grandfather he will be greatly missed by his beloved family and close friends. He was born on February 07, 1948 in Edcouch, Texas. He is preceded in death by his loving parents, Miguel Lopez+ and Felipa Hernandez Lopez+ and his loving son, Arnoldo Lopez+ also by his loving siblings, Ricardo Lopez+, Cayetano Lopez+, Estefana Lopez+. He is survived by his loving wife, Yolanda Lopez and his loving sons, Alejandro (Lucy) Lopez Jr., Adrian (Alma) Lopez and Aldo (Lizette) Lopez. Survivors also include his loving siblings, Rosario (Sergio) Vela, Carmen (Armando+) Anzaldua, Jose (Juana+) Lopez, Valentina (Narcisco+) Olivarez, Guadalupe (Ramon) Montes, and Micaela (Jose Luis+) Torres, Enrique (Esperanza) Lopez, Miguel (Amparo) Lopez, Margarita (Jose) Tellez, Alicia (Jose) Montoya also by his loving 17 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family, all whom he loved dearly. Visitation is going to be on Thursday, February 16, 2023 from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm with a rosary at 7:00 pm. Viewing continues on Friday February 17, 2023 from 8:00 am to 10:30 am going to Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Mission, Texas at 11:00 am. Follow Burial at San Jose Cemetery in Mission, Texas at 12:30 pm. Due to the current climate surrounding COVID -19, we are limiting the amount of visitors to our facility and requiring all guests to please wear a mask and observe social distancing. Funeral services are entrusted at Hernandez Funerals, LLC in La Joya.
