RIO GRANDE CITY – Minerva Villarreal, age, 72 passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2022, at Starr County Memorial Hospital, in Rio Grande City Texas. She was born on September 03, 1949 in Rio Grande City to Apolonio Villarreal and Elma Guerra Villarreal. She was a great daughter, mother, grandmother, aunt and a good friend to all. She will be dearly missed by all. She is preceded in death by her loving parents, Apolonio Villarreal and Elma Guerra Villarreal. She is survived by her loving son, Albert Rodriguez and her loving daughter, Iris Rodriguez. Survivors also include her 6 grandchildren. Visitation is going to be held on Sunday May 29, 2022 from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a rosary at 7:00 pm. Viewing continues on Monday, May 30, 2022 from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm going to St. Paul Church in La Puerta at 4:00 pm. Follow by Cremation. Due to the current climate surrounding COVID-19, we are limiting the amount of visitors to our facility and requiring all guests to please wear a mask and observe social distancing. Services are entrusted to Hernandez Funerals in Rio Grande City, TX.
