Mario Alberto Duran
March 8, 1958 - December 3, 2021
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Mario Alberto Duran on December 3, 2021, at the age of 63. He will lovingly be remembered by his children: Mario Alberto Duran II, and Crystal (Chris) Danielle Duran; his former wife: Aurora (Mugi) Yvonne Duran; his siblings: Ernestina (Tina) Ramirez [Romeo Ramirez], Sylvia Aguilar [Joe Aguilar ✝️], Daniel (Danny) Duran Jr, David Duran, and Maria Claret (Clairey) Duran [Marcos Antonio Garcia]; as well as numerous relatives and friends.Mario was preceded in death by his parents, Ernestina and Daniel Duran, and sister, Lora Marina Lozano. Mario was regarded by all as a hard worker and a loving father. One never needed to question where Mario was or what he was doing because he always had a project at his ranch home. Mario brought joy to all those around him and his infectious laugh that echoed across the pasture will surely be missed. A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at Hernandez Funeral Home in Rio Grande City, TX. Viewing will be held for friends and community from 3pm - 8pm with rosary services at 7pm. Mass will be held at 11am on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at San Isidro Catholic Church. Due to the current climate surrounding COVID -19, we are limiting the amount of visitors to our facility and requiring all guests to please wear a mask and observe social distancing. Services are entrusted to Hernandez Funerals in Rio Grande City.
