Maria Cristina Villalon

March 29, 1939 - February 25, 2022

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Maria Cristina Villalon, on Friday, February 25, 2022, at the age of 82, in Mission Texas. She is proceeded in death by her loving parents and her loving husband, Jose A. Villalon and her daughters, Florinda Villalon and Sylvia Villalon. She will lovingly be remembered by her loving children, Yolanda Villalon, Jesus Villalon, Jose Villalon, Minerva Villalon, Jaime Villalon, and Ruben Villalon, Rene Villalon, Cristina Villalon, Irasema "Iris" Villalon . Survivors also include her 30 grand-children and 27 great-grandchildren as well as numerous relatives and friends. A celebration of life will be held on Monday, February 28, 2022 at Hernandez Funerals in Rio Grande City, TX from 1:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Viewing continues on Tuesday March 01, 2022 from 8:00 am to 2:30 pm going to Holy Family Church in La Grulla at 3:00 PM. Follow Burial at Ruben Solis Cemetery in La Grulla at 4:30 pm. Due to the current climate surrounding COVID -19, we are limiting the amount of visitors to our facility and requiring all guests to please wear a mask and observe social distancing. Services are entrusted to Hernandez Funerals in Rio Grande City.
