July 20, 1963 - February 3, 2022

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Marie Elena Perez, on Thursday, February 03, 2022, at the age of 58, in Rio Grande City, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents, Eligio Garcia & Emma Villarreal Garcia also by her husband Antonio Perez. She will lovingly be remembered her loving sons, Juan Antonio Perez Jr, Eligio Perez also by her 02 grandchildren. Survivors also include her siblings, Sotero Garcia, Yolanda Garcia, Jose Luis Garcia, Dora Garcia and Norma Garcia, Enriqueta Garcia, Rosaura Garcia, Esmeralda Garcia as well as numerous relatives and friends. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, February 04, 2022 at Hernandez Funerals in Rio Grande City, TX from 1:00 pm - 8:00 pm with a rosary at 6:00 pm. Viewing continues at Hernandez Funerals in Rio Grande City, TX on Saturday February 05, 2022 from 8:00 am - 10:30 am going to St. Paul Church in La Puerta at 11:00 am. Follow Burial at La Casita Cemetery at 12:00 pm. Due to the current climate surrounding COVID -19, we are limiting the amount of visitors to our facility and requiring all guests to please wear a mask and observe social distancing.
