Maria (Maruca) P. Gonzalez

March 25, 1941 - January 22, 2022

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Maria (Maruca) P. Gonzalez, on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at the age of 80, in Mission, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents, Canuto Perez and Silvia Balderas and her husband, Guillermo Gonzalez. She will lovingly be remembered her loving sons, Jorge (Vero Cantu) Gonzalez, Guillermo (Silvia) Gonzalez Jr., and her loving daughter, Cynthia (Jorge) Gonzalez Garcia. Survivors also include her 10 grand-children, as well as numerous relatives and friends. A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at Hernandez Funerals in Rio Grande City, TX from 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Viewing continues at Hernandez Funerals in Rio Grande City, TX on Thursday January 27, 2022 from 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Viewing continues at Hernandez Funerals in Rio Grande City, TX on Friday January 28, 2022 from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm going to Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in El Sauz at 1:00 pm. Follow Burial at San Carlos Cemetery in El Sauz at 2:00 pm. Due to the current climate surrounding COVID -19, we are limiting the amount of visitors to our facility and requiring all guests to please wear a mask and observe social distancing.
