Jose Cruz Villarreal

With great sorrow, we announce the passing of Jose Cruz Villarreal, on Friday May 20, 2022 at the age, of 69, in Rio Grande City. Jose Cruz, was our dearly loved husband, son, brother, grand-father, nephew, and friend. He will be greatly missed by his beloved family and close friends. Jose Cruz, was born on May 03, 1953 in Camargo, Tamps, Mexico, to Trinidad Villarreal Vela and Juana Villarreal Alanis. He is preceded in death by his father, Trinidad Villarreal Vela. He is survived by his loving mother, Juana Villarreal Alanis and his loving wife, Marcela Gonzalez Villarreal also by his loving sons, Jose Trinidad Villarreal, Jose Cruz Villarreal Jr., and Daniel Villarreal, Abiel Villarreal. Survivors also include his 10 grandchildren and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family, all whom he loved dearly. Visitation is going to be on Monday May 23, 2022 from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Viewing continues on Tuesday May 24, 2022 from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm with a chapel service at 1:00 pm. Follow burial at St. John's Cemetery in Rio Grande City at 2:30 pm. Due to the current climate surrounding COVID -19, we are limiting the amount of visitors to our facility and requiring all guests to please wear a mask and observe social distancing. Services are entrusted to Hernandez Funerals in Rio Grande City.
