Jose Rene Villarreal

February 15, 1934 - January 22, 2022

With great sorrow, we announce the passing of Jose Rene Villarreal of Rio Grande City, Texas, on Saturday January 22, 2022 at the age, of 87, in Camargo, Tamps. Jose Rene was our dearly loved husband, son, brother, father, uncle, grandfather, great-grand-father and friend. He is preceded in death by his parents, Manuel Villarreal and Paula Andrade. He is survived by his loving wife, Corina Rodriguez Villarreal and his children, Juan Angel Villarreal, Romeo Villarreal and Norma Elsa Villarreal McKee. Survivors also include his15 grand-children, 16 great-grandchildren, his brothers, Jesus Andrade, cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family. Visitation will be held on Tuesday January 25, 2022 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Hernandez Funerals in Rio Grande City, Texas. Viewing continues on Wednesday, January 26, from 7:00 am to 9:45 am with a chapel service at 8:30 am. Follow Burial at Rio Grande City Cemetery at 10:00 am. Due to the current climate surrounding COVID -19, we are limiting the amount of visitors to our facility and requiring all guests to please wear a mask and observe social distancing.
