Francisco Alvarez, 89 went peacefully with the Lord in the comfort of his home with his family by his side on Monday, March 07, 2022. Francisco Alvarez was born on October 10, 1932 in Tanque Alegre Ranch. His parents: Ramon Alvarez and Susana Garcia. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Nicolas, Domingo, Gilberto, Ruben, Aurora Alvarez and Aurelia Garza. He is survived by his loving wife, Maria Del Refugio Alvarez, children Maribel (Rolando) Navarro, Rosario Alvarez, Susana (Jose) Cantu, and Haydee (Adolfo) Arteaga. Survivors also include his brothers, David Alvarez, Humberto Alvarez. Grandchildren Luis (Chrystel) and Larissa Navarro, Venessa, Jose, and Jacob Cantu, Diego and Analyssa Arteaga. Great Grandchildren: Matthew and Darian Navarro. Francisco enjoyed spending time with his family, listening to music, and being at the ranch. He loved talking about the news and hearing about stories from those who visited him. We love you Daddy. You will be missed immensely. Forever in our hearts. Visitation service will be held at Hernandez Funerals in Rio Grande City, TX on Wednesday March 09, 2022 from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a rosary at 6:00 pm. Viewing continues on Thursday March 10, from 8:00 am to 9:30 am with a chapel service at 9:00 am. Follow Burial at Domingo Alvarez Cemetery in Rio Grande City (17 miles North from Rio Grande City) at 10:00 am. Due to the current climate surrounding COVID-19, we are limiting the amount of visitors to our facility and requiring all guests to please wear mask and observe social distancing.
