Ernesto Elicerio Vela

November 7, 1950 - June 19, 2022

With great sorrow, we announce the passing of Ernesto Elicerio Vela, on Sunday June 19, 2022 at the age, of 71, in Mission, Texas. Ernesto, was our dearly loved husband, father, son, brother, grand-father, great-grand-father, nephew, and friend. He will be greatly missed by his beloved family and close friends. Ernesto, was born on November 07, 1950 in Mexico, to Luciano and Juanita Vela Elicerio. He is preceded in death by his loving parents, Luciano and Juanita Vela Elicerio. He is survived by his loving wife, Adela Rios Elicerio and his loving children, Juan Angel Elicerio, Brenda Elicerio, and Ernesto Elicerio Jr. Survivors also include his 10 grandchildren, 01 great-grand-son and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family, all whom he loved dearly. Visitation is going to be on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a service at 6:00 pm. Viewing continues on Wednesday June 22, 2022 from 8:00 am to 10:00 am. Follow Burial at Ruben Solis Cemetery in La Grulla at 10:30 am. Due to the current climate surrounding COVID -19, we are limiting the amount of visitors to our facility and requiring all guests to please wear a mask and observe social distancing. Services are entrusted to Hernandez Funerals in Rio Grande City.
