A dear memory of mine is when we all went to Padre Island with our chihuahua, Coco. Crystal sat down in the sand and Coco decided to cover her with sand. And I just remember hearing her laughter and seeing her bright smile. We met while we were teaching at North Grammar as a substitute and I was put in a bilingual class and she was put with me because me Spanish was not that good. After that we became very, very good friends. After so many years I moved to another job and they had an opening and I brought her with me. Our friendship grew and there was a van driver that would always say "Hey buddy" to everybody everytime so me and Crystal decided from then on to call each other buddy. I have fond memories of going to her and JFs house for BBQs, birthdays, or just to talk. We always went to Chili's to catch up and chat, gossip sometimes. My kids would call me up and ask me where I was and I'd joke that I was at Walmart and Crystal would burst out laughing and say "You're crazy girl!" She was always positive and her faith was amazing. She will always be part of my family, like a sister to me, her family to mine and mine to hers. Anytime I had a problem, she was always available to talk to. Her last words for me was "I love you and I'm sorry" and I told her that she didn't have to be sorry and that I loved her. I joked to her about how I still bite my nails when I saw her newly done nails and she kinda smiled and laughed. She will always be my buddy, my family, my best friend. I love you buddy.
