I have been a long time friend of Celeste's aunt , Norma (Olivarez) Burchardt and had the wonderful blessing of meeting Celeste when she was about 2 years old. Yes, she was a feisty and beautiful child with the most darling curls and a personality to go with it. I recall a trip we made to HEB during that visit when someone bumped into the shopping cart Celeste was riding in. She promptly said: "cabeza de vaca". I had to turn away to keep from laughing out loud. Her mom Judy scolded her for the comment. Celeste looked at me, after Judy went back to her shopping, and said with the reassurance of an adult: "cabeza de vaca." I wished I had known her as an adult. She grew into a strong woman with strong family values and gave so much love to those around her. We don't know why someone so young has to leave behind their loved ones. Celeste did a lot of living and gave so much love in those 39 years. More than most people do in twice as many. Only God..in His infinite wisdom... knows why. What I do now is Heaven became more awesome when this beautiful woman entered it. My prayers and thoughts are with her family and friends.
